Treatment of the Terminal Dentition
- Diagnose and treatment plan dentate patients with terminal, hopeless dentitions.
- Understand immediate denture principles, including digital and conventional pathways.
- Know indications for AOX prostheses: how to, when to, when not to
- Understand conversions of complete dentures to fixed interim hybrid prostheses, including restorative components and clinical techniques.
Treatment of Edentulous Patients with Definitive Implant Retained and Supported Prostheses
- Understand indications and contraindications for definitive fixed prostheses including zirconia, porcelain fused to metal and hybrid prostheses.
- Understand indications and contraindications for definitive removable prostheses including resilient attachments, primary bar frameworks with attachments, and cantilever lengths.
Complications Associated with Fixed and Removable Implant Prostheses
- Understand treatment planning steps necessary to minimize post-operative, post-insertion complications.
- Understand implant maintenance procedures, including frequency and clinical procedures.
About Dr. Carl Drago
Dr. Drago received his dental degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and a MS degree from the University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at San Antonio. Dr Drago has been in private practice limited to fixed, removable and implant prosthodontics in Brookfield, WI. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and was re-certified in 2019. He has published close to 100 papers on multiple subjects in prosthodontics, written five textbooks on dental implants and lectured nationally and internationally. Dr. Drago is also the Clinical Science section editor for the Journal of Prosthodontics.
